KARA is expanding our resource page to answer questions and provide access to more resources. This will become an interactive, AI-driven public database platform providing timely and accurate information on child protection, child abuse, childhood trauma, and all things related to child welfare. It will highlight key details for public and civic awareness. Stakeholders and law makers can then use the platform to further develop their understanding of the issues so that better answers and improved programs and policies are developed for at-risk children.
This platform will engage multiple partners/cohorts in finding and leveraging child abuse resources and data to affect change. We are building a comprehensive repository of information by collating unstructured and structured data from various sources including:
- Information submitted by the public about policies & abuse cases.
- Tracked public datasets for the most up to date information
- Web crawlers cataloging journalistic, academic, & social media
- Mental health, community, social services, & other important resources
- KARA’s years of gathering university & private research
Kids At Risk Action is seeking reader input for this project. Reader input is appreciated. However, responses to messages may not be immediate, as this is a complex, long-term project that is actively evolving and requires thoughtful attention to all communication.
