Volunteer Opportunity: WordPress Page Manager (International News)

KARA (Kids At Risk Action) is seeking a detail‑oriented volunteer with WordPress experience to help manage and update our International Child Abuse News page. You’ll keep links current, organize articles and video resources, and ensure our global child protection content is easy to find and use.

Ideal for someone who:

  • Has solid WordPress skills (editing pages, posts, menus, categories)

  • Is comfortable checking and fixing links, embeds, and basic formatting

  • Cares about children’s rights, trauma, and social justice

Time commitment: 3–5 hours per month, flexible and remote.

Your work will help journalists, advocates, and families access critical information that’s often hard to find. If you’re interested, please contact us at hello@invisiblechildren.org with VOLUNTEER in the subject line and a brief note about your WordPress experience.

INTERNATIONAL CHILD ABUSE REPORTING

 

KARA’s new International Child Abuse section spotlights the urgent reality that childhood trauma and abuse knows no borders, affecting more than half of all children globally each year through ignored child labor laws, violence against children, neglect, emotional harm, and sexual abuse (WHO). By bringing together critical data and resources from around the world, this section aims to educate, inspire action, and support the millions of children who suffer in silence, ensuring that KARA’s advocacy extends beyond America to every child who needs a champion (PAHO; IHME).

This effort has been championed by KARA volunteer Eshanee Singh, a Barrister and Solicitor (Ontario) with an LL.M. in International Business Law (University of London, with Distinction), specializing in corporate regulation, legislative development, and business and human rights. She brings experience in drafting and interpreting complex government and corporate agreements with deep research on how governments and multinational enterprises shape child rights. Eshanee is a ten year volunteer with KARA as an international researcher and writer exposing and challenging policies and practices that harm vulnerable children worldwide.
