KARA is at a turning point, and we’re asking for your help to take the next step.
For 25 years, Kids At Risk Action (KARA) has been a voice for abused and neglected children—sharing the hard truths from courtrooms and classrooms, turning scattered data into clear stories, and helping CASA and child‑advocacy programs recruit the volunteers kids depend on. Now we’re building something the child protection field has never had: an AI‑driven National Child Abuse Data and Solutions Platform, paired with a growing network of college interns who help collect, analyze, and share this information with at-risk children and families, law and policy makers, health and social workers, courts, law enforcement, and policymakers.
This project will finally make visible what has long been hidden: where children are most at risk, how trauma shows up in schools and health systems, and which interventions actually help. It will put information, tools, and resources in the hands of local leaders—and it will train a new generation of students to understand and improve the systems that shape children’s lives.
To move from vision to scale, we need partners. If you’re in a position to give, a one‑time or recurring gift to KARA will go directly into building and piloting this platform, supporting paid student interns, and expanding our technical support to CASA and child‑advocacy nonprofits.
If you give through a donor‑advised fund (DAF) at Fidelity, Schwab, Vanguard, a community foundation, or another sponsor, please consider recommending a grant to Kids At Risk Action (KARA).Share KARA’s EIN: 510570258, and website with your fund advisor and let them know you’d like to support KARA’s child‑protection data and college‑intern initiative. If you know someone with a DAF or family foundation who cares about children, data, or systems change, a simple personal referral to KARA could make a real difference in how effectively we reach the kids who need us.
Thank you for your readership and support.
