If we knew more, we could do more

The vast majority of child abuse and child protection issues

are never reported or talked about.

The Covid-19 pandemic is keeping children locked in toxic homes in Minnesota

Minnesota’s Child Maltreatment Report of 2019, states that “Of the 85,917 child maltreatment reports, local agencies screened in 37,649, 43.8% of reports.” Over half of the cases reported to the state aren’t being looked at.

According to a report conducted by the Minnesota Department of Health, in the year of 2020, around 80% of victims reported were being abused by their birth-parents.

About 300 children were abused or neglected in licensed facilities (group homes and foster care).

We need more forever families for our fostered youth today.

Too many fostered youth are aging out of care. According to the report, there are “905 foster children still waiting to be adopted.”
